How does it work?

To summarize, your family will receive a packet that includes a shopping bag, a passport, a “I Love

Vegetable” book, and either $30 or $60 in KM@TS tokens, which you can use to "pay" for the produce each week throughout the summer. Once enrolled, you will be given information on when, where, and how to pick up your packet. At that time and when each county’s start date has begun, children participating in the program can bring their passport, tokens, and shopping bag (their packet) to their participating store. Look for signs indicating the designated shopping areas. These stores offer a wide selection of produce for the children to choose from. When it's time to pay with their tokens, they present their passport at the checkout counter to receive a tracking sticker for their purchases.

How will I receive info?

Emails or texts - Each county Kids Market @ the Store coordinator will send weekly texts or emails

keeping you updated on the fruits and vegetables available in stores each week.

Facebook group – We've set up a Facebook group to support you throughout the

program. In the group, we'll have virtual demonstrations, recipe sharing, Q&A sessions, and plenty of resources. Just follow this link to join the Kids Market @ the Store Facebook Group: Simply click join group, and we will approve your membership as soon as possible.

When does my county start the program, where do I pick up my packet, or what is my county’s specific information?

Please contact your county coordinator for your county’s specific details. Each county has their own start date and packet pick up dates.

I’ve enrolled in the program but haven’t heard anything, what do I do?

Some counties haven’t hit capacity yet, and those county coordinators are waiting until they do to send out an initial email. So, if that’s the case for your county you can expect an email soon. If you’re in this group because you received the initial email but just haven’t heard anything else, stay tuned! Your county coordinator will share further details soon. I also recommend checking your spam or junk folders, as the email from your county coordinator could have ended up there.

What if I’m busy and can’t pick up my packet on the day sent to me by my county coordinator?

If this is the case, please reach out to your county coordinator and they will arrange a day for you to pick it up.

Can my neighbor/friend/relative pick up my packet?

No worries! You can bring your SNAP Stretch back with you the next time you shop at select participating sites.

What form does SNAP Stretch come in?

SNAP Stretch is given out in tokens, paper scripts or vouchers, or discounts at checkout.
